Great question! Thanks for asking.
I've been a PA since 2018 and absolutely love helping authors and my fellow PAs, so I decided to start blogging about these kinds of questions here. If you have one, send it in!
Ok, so I'll start with a "DON'T". Don't just email authors you find on Facebook advertising your services, right now everyone is overwhelmed with "book marketers" emailing them every day asking to promote their books for fees. I even get them and I'm not an author, so I can't imagine what authors are dealing with.
Nobody likes a cold call or email.
If you have a PA Facebook page, definitely DO advertise your services there. Many times if an author is looking, they will look that way, or someone will tag them or let them know.
I've found several clients through Facebook groups where authors will come make a post with what they're looking for. I'm sure there are more than these two, so feel free to comment if you know of more and I'll add them to the list:

Another great way could be to join a company that you would work for who gives you clients that came to them, one off the top of my head is
Of course, word of mouth and friend referrals are EVERYTHING so if you're working with an author, you can always reach out to them and ask if any of their friends are looking for a PA as well. If you have PA friends, they might know someone looking. I recommend joining a PA group chat. DM me for a rec. I hope this helped! Good luck. 💋
