Can you tell us a bit about you and how you got into writing?
I'm Michelle from Minnesota. I am in my early fifties, and I live with my soulmate, Lawrence. We love traveling, playing badminton and fostering rescue dogs. I started writing when I was in elementary school. Back then I kept journals, was in the school newspaper club and wrote kids books that I entered into our State Fair (and won prizes). I've always loved to write, and I feel I'm a strong writer.
Did you always know you wanted to be an author?
I have a full-time job, so I'm an author on the side. If one day my books got really popular, I'd love to be a full-time author. I never thought I'd ever publish a book when I was younger, but I'm glad I did!
If you could have dinner with any character from your book, who would you choose?
Oh my, that's a great question. I would love to have dinner with Michael from my contemporary romance novel "Finding Faith." He's a fireman in that story, and I have a thing for firemen. - Also, I'd love to meet Matteo in "Theo's Heart" - because he knows way more than Mari (other main character) about the afterlife, and I think that conversation would be intriguing.
Do you have any specific writing rituals?
I love writing at home or at Caribou Coffee even though I don't drink coffee. :) I also love getting a lot of feedback on my books before publishing them.
Can you give us a hint about any current or future projects you’re excited about?
I'm writing a novella titled, "Heaven Sent." It's about a friendship between two women thirty years apart, and a mysterious man. I hope to have it published this year.
